Singer Malaysia to refurbish Sabah outlets

Kota Kinabalu: Singer Malaysia Sdn Bhd outlets in Sabah will be undergoing refurbishment as part of the company's rebranding plans.

According to its Sabah regional manager Yap Sin Teck, with the refurbishment, all Singer outlets would have a new contemporary look and be more appealing to its customers.

Speaking to reporters at the opening of Singer Malaysia's 71st outlet in Sabah, which is located at Giant Kolombong here yesterday, Yap also said that Singer had embarked on a new business, financing for used cars.

"Most banks and financial institutions are shying away from financing used vehicles so Singer has decided to fill in the gap," Yap said adding that the company also provided financing for superbikes and high cc motorcycles.

"Other than selling household goods, Singer Malaysia will also be embarking on a home improvement program this year," Yap disclosed.

Singer Malaysia, he also said would continue to bring more comtemporary products to meet the current public needs.

On Singer Malaysia's future plans for Sabah, Yap said that it would continue to expand as it aimed to open up to 100 outlets in the state by mid 2015.

"We also have set a target of RM40 million in sales for Singer Malaysia outlets in Sabah this year," he said.
